Proposition 218 Notices

Proposition 218 notices for trash rates were mailed out on Friday, January 27, 2023. These notices include important information about the new proposed rates with CR&R. The proposition 218 notices have abundant information about the proposed rates and how they would increase during the duration of the contract. If you did not receive your notice in the mail, please contact our office at 760-482-2440, or visit the website at www.heber.ca.gov/publications/prop218.

Los avisos de la Proposición 218 para las tarifas de basura se enviaron por correo el viernes 27 de enero de 2023. Estos avisos incluyen información importante sobre las nuevas tarifas propuestas con CR&R. Los avisos de prop 218 tienen abundante información sobre las tarifas propuestas y cómo aumentarían durante la duración del contrato. Late Fee Increase

Effective February 1, 2023, the late fee will increase from $15.00 to $20.00. This increase was approved by the Board of Directors on December 15, 2022 via Resolution 2022-23.

A partir del 1 de febrero de 2023, el recargo por pago atrasado aumentara de $15.00 a $20.00. Este aumento fue aprobado por la Junta Directiva el 15 de diciembre de 2022 mediante Resolución 2022-23.

Community Clean Up Day

Our community trash clean up day will be Saturday, March 4th, 2023.The event will be from 8am to 12pm. YOU WILL NEED A WATER BILL AND AN IDENTIFICATION CARD TO BE ALLOWED TO DUMP TRASH. The event will take place across the street from our Wastewater Plant at 1185 Rockwood Ave, Heber, CA.

What types of items may I dispose of?

• Furniture
• Yard Waste
• Tires (No more than 9)
• Bulky Items
• E-Waste
• Large Appliances

Nuestro día de limpieza para la comunidad será sábado 4 de marzo del 2023. El evento será de 8 am a 12 pm. NECESITARÁ SU FACTURA DE AGUA Y UNA TARJETA DE IDENTIFICACIÓN PARA PODER TIRAR BASURA. El evento tendrá lugar frente a nuestra planta de aguas negras en 1185 Rockwood Ave, Heber, CA.

HPUD Welcomes New General Manager

The Heber Public Utility District welcomes Mrs. Madeline Dessert Martinez as their new General Manager. Madeline comes to HPUD from the County of Imperial Area Agency on Aging and has a strong background in public service. Mrs. Dessert brings experience in financial management, grant management, and managing both public and private entities to her new role. Mrs. Dessert holds a Bachelor's Degree in Politics from the University of San Francisco, as well as a paralegal certificate in General Litigation from the University of San Diego. Madeline Dessert was born and raised in the Imperial Valley and lives locally with her husband and two children.

El Distrito de Servicios Públicos de Heber le da la bienvenida a la Sra. Madeline Dessert como su nueva Gerente General. Madeline llega a HPUD de la Agencia sobre el Envejecimiento del Área del Condado de Imperial y tiene una sólida experiencia en el servicio público. La Sra. Dessert aporta experiencia en gestión financiera, subvenciones, entidades públicas y privadas a su nuevo cargo.La Sra. Dessert tiene una Licenciatura en Política de la Universidad de San Francisco, así como un certificado de asistente legal en Litigios Generales de la Universidad de San Diego.Madeline Dessert Martinez nació y se crió en el Valle Imperial y vive localmente con su esposo y sus dos hijos.

HPUD Board Reorganization

During the December 2022 Board Meeting, the Board of Directors voted on appointing Mr. Tony Sandoval to the Office of President and Mrs. Helen Diaz-Molina to the Office of Vice-President. There was also a presentation to the outgoing President, Kaine Garcia.

Durante la reunión de la Junta de diciembre de 2022, la Junta Directiva votó por nombrar al Sr. Tony Sandoval en el cargo de presidente y a la Sra. Helen Diaz-Molina en el cargo de vicepresidente. También hubo una presentación al presidente saliente, Kaine García.

Office Closed: Presidents Day

The HPUD Office will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023, in observance of Presidents Day.

La oficina de HPUD estará cerrada el lunes 20 de febrero de 2023, en conmemoración del Día de los Presidentes.
